Ciao, forse non si è notata questa feature perchè non è stata particolarmente pubblicizzata ...
Però con il nuovo template di posta Domino Web Access è possibile abilitare il publishing di un feed RSS o ATOM (o entrambi) per fare syndication della propria Inbox.
Il sistema prevede che si abiliti l'autenticazione basic per consentire ai feed reader di effettuare l'autenticazione (i feed reader non sanno usare l'autenticazione form based di domino).
Inoltre per sicurezza viene richiesto per default l'uso di HTTPS ma tutto è configurabile.

Pare anche che con la prossima release 8.0.1 il template DWA sarà fatto in modo da consentire l'accesso anche con palmari e smartphone. Staremo a vedere.

Grazie per la dritta, mi stavo appunto arrabbiando per questo "limite" del feed reader. Sopratutto perchè in molti casi applicativi e nell'uso di Lotus Connections l'autenticazione è un requisito primario.
Adesso però vi spiego perchè funziona ciò che Claudio ha spiegato.
Dentro il client Expeditor (su cui si poggia) una delle innumerevoli API è quella che controlla una specie di keyring di account e credenziali che il client Expeditor poi usa.
Questa API consente di creare "account" di tipo USERID+PASSWORD (usati per HTTPS/S basic authentication, IMAP/POP3/LDAP) e anche account di tipo "LTPA" ovvero credenziali che vengono poi impiegate nell'autenticazione "form based" di Domino/Websphere. Non ne ho ancora approfondito l'uso ma credo che una volta impostati questi account come si deve l'accesso ad applicazioni Web su Domino e Websphere dall'interno del client potrebbe avvenire addirittura in Single Sign On non richiedendo quindi una ulteriore autenticaizone.
Ho delle prove in corso.. vi farò sapere.
Per il momento grazie a Claudio, per chi volesse approvondire potete cercare la documentazione specifica nell'SDK di Lotus Expeditor dove sono presenti i javadoc e le descrizioni degli extension point eclipse che si possono impiegare.
aggiungo a questa interessante notizia che, il feed Reader della R8 non supporta autentica HTTP/S, ma questo è il workaround:
The Lotus Notes 8 feed reader does not currently support sites that require authentication. If you attempt to subscribe to a feed and receive an authentication, or other security-related error message, you can then create an account in Notes (using the procedure below) and retry the feed subscription:
1. Obtain the URL for the feed to which you would like to subscribe.
2. Open Lotus Notes 8 and click File > Preferences > Accounts.
3. Click New Account.
4. In the Account Name field, type a descriptive name of your choice.
5. In the Description field, type a brief description of the feed to which you want to subscribe.
6. In the Type field, chose either HTTP or HTTPS.
7. In the Server field, paste in the URL of the feed to which you want to subscribe.
8. Click OK.
