As I described in my previous post when you upgrade to quickr 8.1 you're are required to uninstall the old connector before installing the new one.

My friend Roberto Boccadoro from IBM commented that we can export from the window registry and re-import the configuration after the upgrade.

Here's how:

Use this command to export your current configuration to "quickr.reg":

regedit /e quickr.reg "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\Lotus Quickr\Desktop Integration"

This command will create an export of your quickr configuration to a .reg file

After doing this you can uninstall, reboot, install the quickr connector to upgrade to version 8.1

Finally you can import the old configuration by running regedit against the file you exported:

regedit quickr.reg

You'll be requested to confirm the import. You're done ...

Enjoy your migrated configuration.

Thanks RoB
